Preparatory work
Remove the high voltage cable bracket.
Disconnect the high voltage cables.
Move the engine compartment wiring to the side (located at the front edge of the valve cover).
Removal and installation the valve cover
Removal
Loosen the mounting bolts in the reverse order to that shown in the figure.
Installation
Tighten the mounting bolts in the order shown below:
1) Tighten in sequence
1->10->11->13->8
: 7.8-9.8 Nm (0.8-1.0 kg·m)
2) Tighten in the sequence shown in the figure.
: 7.8-9.8 Nm (0.8-1.0 kg·m)
Installing the valve cover gasket
Carefully insert the gasket into the groove of the valve cover so that it does not fall out.
Apply a continuous bead of Three Bond 1207C sealant (KR51000150) in the places indicated in the figure.
