Removing
1. Remove air duct and air cleaner assembly See section above «Air cleaner and air duct».
2. Remove a rack of the right support of the engine. See section «Removal and installation».
Note: It is not necessary to support the engine with a jack.
3. Remove ignition coil See section above «Ignition coil».
4. Remove an arm of electroconducting of the coil of ignition.
5. Disconnect the PCV hose and connector from the intake camshaft solenoid valve.
6. If necessary, remove the PCV valve.
7. If necessary remove the electrovalve of the mechanism of regulation of phases of gas distribution of inlet valves.
Caution: Handle the solenoid valve with care. Avoid hitting. Don't understand.
8. Loosen the mounting bolts in the reverse order shown in the figure and remove the valve cover.
9. Remove the valve cover seal with a screwdriver.
Caution: Do not damage the valve cover.
Installation
1. Install the gland in the valve cover
Press in the oil seal using a drift with an outer diameter of 97 mm and an inner diameter of 83-88 mm.
Press the gland in evenly with respect to the contact surface.
2. Install the valve cover as follows:
Install gasket (1) on the upper surface of the bracket No. 1 of the camshafts.
When installing, align the dowel pins (2) and holes in the gasket according to the shape of the camshaft bracket.
Tighten the bolts evenly in two passes to the required torque in the order indicated by the numbers in the figure.
Install the gasket into the groove in the valve cover.
Apply sealant to the places indicated in the figure.
Use branded sealant or equivalent.
Bolt locations are shown below:
- Shaft length under head 45 mm: 1, 2 (internal bolts)
- Stem length under head 20 mm: other than above (external bolts)
3. Install the intake valve timing solenoid valve.
Make sure the flange, o-ring or mounting hole is free of foreign matter.
Tighten the mounting bolt, making sure that the solenoid valve is fully inserted into the mounting hole.
4. Install the PCV valve.
Insert until the flange is flush with the rubber bushing.
5. After this operation, installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
