Removal
1. Remove the camshaft. See section "Camshaft".
2. Remove the valve lifters. See section "Camshaft".
3. Turn the crankshaft until the piston of the cylinder on which the seal needs to be removed is at TDC. This will prevent the valve from falling into the cylinder.
Caution: When turning the crankshaft, do not pinch the timing chain with the front cover.
4. Compress the valve spring using the tool (special tool), remove the crackers, valve spring plate and valve spring.

5. Remove the valve seal using a puller (special tool).

Installation
1. Apply engine oil to the new valve seal and sealing lip.
2. Press in the valve seal using a punch (special tool) up to the height shown in the figure.
3. After this operation, installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
