1. Check the clutch pedal travel – the pedal should move smoothly, without sticking, throughout its entire working stroke.
2. Also check for slippage or jerking when the clutch is operating, then adjust the drive cable.
3. If a lot of force is required to disengage the clutch, first check the integrity of the cable and the correct routing along the track, then remove the pedal and lubricate the axle (see subsection 8.3 and subsection 8.4).
