Attention. Carry out all operations only after the engine has stopped.
Make sure the indicator (notch on the fixed side) drive belt automatic tensioner is within the allowable operating range (A), shown in the figure.
Note.
- Check the indication of the automatic drive belt tensioner on a cold engine.
- When installing a new drive belt, the indicator (notch on the fixed side) must be in the appropriate range (IN), shown in the figure.
- Visually inspect the drive belt for wear, damage or cracks.
- If the indicator (notch on the fixed side) out of range or the drive belt is damaged, replace the belt with a new one.
Drive belt tension adjustment is not required as it is automatically adjusted by the auto-tensioner
