2. Wipe dry the crankcase near the filler plug (and at the same time control) holes located in front of the gearbox. Open the plug and clean.
3. The oil level should reach the lower edge of the filler hole. A small amount of oil will be collected behind the end of the plug and will flow out when it is removed. However, a thin trickle when the plug is removed is not an indication of a normal oil level.
4. To make sure the oil level is correct, wait for the oil to stop flowing out in a thin stream, then add oil until the oil trickle reappears. The oil level will be correct when the oil flow from the hole stops. Add only fresh oil of the recommended type.
5. It is necessary to wait a sufficiently long time for the oil level to reach its actual mark. If a large amount of oil leaks out when checking the level, which must be replenished, then tighten the plug and make a short trip. When driving, oil penetrates into all parts, evenly distributed throughout the internal volume of the gearbox. After the trip, repeat the level check, after waiting for the oil to completely drain from the gearbox parts.
6. If the oil level in the gearbox exceeds the norm and the oil begins to flow out immediately after the plug is unscrewed, check the horizontal position of the car (in longitudinal and transverse directions). If necessary, add an excess amount of oil, which, when leveling the car, will drain into a substituted container.
7. If the level is normal, then wrap the plug and tighten to the specified torque.
