Applying sealant to the surface of the tray

Removal
1. Set the handbrake, then lift the front of the car and place it on stands. Disconnect the battery from ground.
2. Loosen the screws and remove the plastic shield under the engine.
3. Drain the oil from the engine.
4. Disconnect the exhaust pipe.

5. Loosen the bolts and remove the small supports on both sides of the engine that connect the gearbox to the cylinder block (the arrows indicate the locations of the front support attachments).
6. Remove the oil pan bolts and nuts.

7. Use your palm to open the pan seal, lower the pan and remove it from under the vehicle.

8. Unscrew the two bolts and remove the oil receiver with the coarse filter and the ring gasket.

9. Wash the coarse filter in solvent and check for blockages or damage. If there is any sign of damage, replace the oil receiver assembly with the filter.
Installation
1. Clean the sealant residue from the separating surfaces of the oil pan and cylinder block, then wipe the oil pan and internal surfaces of the engine clean.

2. Place a new O-ring into the oil receiver groove (indicated by the arrow), install the oil receiver and tighten the bolts.
3. Clean the split surfaces and apply sealant to the groove stamped in the center of the pan sealing surface between the holes, as well as on the inward facing side of the bolt holes (see fig. Applying sealant to the surface of the pallet).
4. Place the pan on the studs, tighten the nuts and bolts to the specified torque.
5. Install the gearbox supports and tighten the bolts.
6. Install the exhaust pipe.
7. Install plastic shields under the engine.
8. Fill the engine with fresh oil, replace the filter.
