Removal and installation (on models with CR engine)
Removal
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
2. Remove the protective cover from the front right fender.
3. Remove the alternator drive belt. See chapter Mechanical part of the engine.
4. Remove the mounting bolts from the tensioner pulley bracket and remove the tensioner pulley assembly.

5. Disconnect the connector from the generator.
Unscrew the fastening nut of terminal "B", the fastening nut of the ground wire and remove the electrical wiring clamps.

6. Remove the engine mount stand on the right side.
7. Remove the generator upper bracket mounting bolts and the generator upper mounting bolt.

8. Loosen the lower generator mounting bolt and remove it from the U-shaped slot on the front cover.
9. Remove the generator assembly from the engine.

Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
Install the generator and check the belt tension. See chapter Mechanical part of the engine.
Caution: Tighten the terminal "B" retaining nut with care.
- Terminal B fastening nut: Tightening torque: 19.32-10.8 N·m (0.95-1.1 kg·m)
- Ground cable bolt: Tightening torque: 2.94-4.9 N·m (0.30-0.49 kg·m)
- Generator mounting bolt: Tightening torque: 33.3-46.1 N·m (3.4-4.7 kg·m)
- Alternator Upper Bracket Bolt: Tightening Torque: 33.3-46.1 N·m (3.4-4.7 kg·m)
- Engine mount strut bolt: Tightening torque: 40.0-50.0 N·m (4.1 -5.1 kg·m)
- Tensioner Pulley Bracket Bolt: Tightening Torque: 16.6-23.5 N·m (1.7-2.4 kg·m)
- Tensioner pulley nut: Tightening torque: 25.5-33.3 N·m (2.6-3.3 kg·m)
Removal and installation (on models with HR engine)
Removal
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
2. Remove the protective cover from the front right fender.
3. Remove the alternator drive belt. See chapter Mechanical part of the engine.
4. Remove the tension pulley assembly. See chapter Mechanical part of the engine.
5. Disconnect the connector from the generator.
Unscrew the fastening nut of terminal "B", the fastening nut of the ground wire and remove the electrical wiring clamps.

6. Remove the air conditioning compressor. See chapter Automatic air conditioner.
7. Unscrew the reaction rod bolt.

8. Unscrew the upper generator mounting bolt.

9. Loosen the lower generator mounting bolt.

Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
Install the generator and check the belt tension. See chapter Mechanical part of the engine.
Caution: Tighten the terminal "B" retaining nut with care.
- Terminal B fastening nut: 19.32-10.8 N·m (0.95-1.1 kg·m)
- Ground cable bolt: Tightening torque: 2.94-4.9 N·m (0.30-0.49 kg·m)
- Generator mounting bolt: Tightening torque: 21.0-29.0 N·m (2.2-2.9 kg·m)
- Torque rod bolt: Tightening torque: 40.0-50.0 N·m (4.1-5.1 kg·m)
- Tensioner pulley bolt: Tightening torque: 24.0-32.0 N·m (2.5-3.2 kg·m)
