Removal
Loosen the straps completely, following the instructions in section "Tension adjustment" above, and remove them one by one, starting from the front.
Installation
1. Place the belts on the pulleys in the reverse order of removal.
Attention:
- When installing the belt, make sure it is seated correctly in the pulley groove.
- Do not allow oil, grease or engine coolant to enter the pulley groove.
2. Adjust the belt tension
Attention:
- When measuring the belt tension immediately after installation, first adjust it to the standard value. Then rotate the crankshaft more than two revolutions and re-adjust to the standard value, eliminating the variation in the amount of belt deflection between the pulleys.
- Tighten the tensioner pulley lock nut by hand and measure the tension without slack.
3. Tighten the locknuts on the adjusting bolts to the required torque.
4. Make sure that the belt tension is within normal limits.
