Before checking, turn the crankshaft pulley clockwise twice and make sure that the tension on all pulleys is the same.
Visually inspect belts for wear, damage, or cracks on contact surfaces and edges.
When measuring deflection, apply a force of 93.1 N (10 kg) at the point marked with the symbol ▼.

Caution: When checking the deflection or tension of the belt immediately after installing it, first adjust it to the standard value. Then, turning the crankshaft two revolutions or more, re-adjust the deflection to the standard value and eliminate the variation in the amount of belt deflection between the pulleys (see table. below).
