
2. Check the runout by rotating the connecting flange. The measured value should not exceed 0.13 mm.
3. Install the test indicator on the inside of the connecting flange (by the diameter of the socket).
4. Rotate the connecting flange to check the runout. The measured value should not exceed 0.19 mm.
5. If the runout value is outside the permissible limit, the following must be done before adjusting the rear final drive:

- Check the runout by changing the relative position between the coupling flange and the pinion shaft in 90 degree increments. Find the position at which the runout is minimal.
- If the runout value is still not within the standard even after changing the relative position, replace the connecting flange with a new one.
- If the runout value is still abnormal even after replacing the coupling flange, the possible cause is a faulty pinion shaft and ESC or bearings.
