Removing
Note. To perform this work, you will need a tool to cut the sealant layer.
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Jack up the front of the car and place it on jack stands.
3. Turn out a drain stopper of the pallet and merge impellent oil in a suitable container. Screw the plug back into place by tightening it firmly.
4. Give bolts of fastening of the engine to reinforcing arms of transmission, remove arms from the engine.
5. Gradually, in several stages, give the bolts of the engine oil pan. Give back in a diagonal manner, moving from the edges of the pallet to the middle.
6. Using a special tool, cut through the pad of sealant through which the sump is attached to the engine crankcase.
7. If necessary, give the fixing bolts and remove the oil intake of the oil pump from the engine. Discard the O-ring.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order.
1. Clean the mating surfaces of the sump and crankcase, carefully removing all traces of the old gasket material from them.
2. Carefully inspect the pallet, checking its flange for mechanical damage. Make any necessary repairs or replace the defective pan.
3. Flush the inside of the sump and oil pickup assembly with a suitable solvent to completely remove all traces of charcoal and sludge.
4. Install the oil pump intake with a new sealing ring and tighten its fastening bolts with a force of 16÷21 Nm.
5. When using sealant to seal the seating of the pan, place a pillow of high-quality sealant with a section diameter of 3.5 ÷ 4.5 mm into the groove of the flange and around the bolt holes in it. Within five minutes of applying the sealant, press the tray against the block, being careful not to disturb the continuity of the pad. Then screw in fixing bolts and tighten them with the required force in the order shown in the accompanying illustration.
6. Install the reinforcing brackets by tightening their fastening bolts to the required torque.
7. Fill the engine with fresh oil, then start the engine and check for leaks.
Note. Start pouring oil into the engine no earlier than thirty minutes after installing the sump.
