Removal the cylinder head (Nissan Qashqai J10)

1. Relieve the fuel pressure in the fuel lines (see chapter "Power supply system").

2. Drain the coolant and engine oil.

Attention.

• Perform these procedures only on a cold engine.
• Do not allow engine oil or coolant to come into contact with the drive belt.

3. Remove the following units and assemblies:

• Front right fender liner.
• Generator (see Chapter 12 "Engine electrical equipment").
• Front exhaust pipe.
• Exhaust manifold.
• Intake manifold.
• Fuel lines and injectors.
• Cooling system outlet.
• Attachment drive belt.
• Front engine cover.
• Camshafts.

4. Loosen and then completely unscrew the cylinder head mounting bolts in the reverse order indicated using a special key.

5. Remove the cylinder head gasket.
