Note. Install valve guide bushings oversized by 0.2 mm over the nominal size.
Using a valve guide reamer (A) (special tool) bore the hole for the guide sleeve in the cylinder head.
Heat the cylinder head to a temperature of 110-130°C in an oil bath (A).
Using the valve guide installer, press in the valve guides (1) from the side of the camshafts, as shown in the figure.
Note. Size «H» is given in the section «Service data and specification» of this chapter.
Attention. cylinder head (2) has a high temperature. Take protective measures to prevent burns.
Using a valve guide reamer (A) (special tool) finish the valve guides.
2. If valve seats have been drilled out, install new ones:
Note. Install valve seats oversized by 0.5 mm over the nominal size.
Boring the cylinder head (e) under the oversize valve seat. Be sure to bore in concentric circles from the center of the valve guide to ensure optimum valve seating.
Heat the cylinder head to a temperature of 110-130°C in an oil bath (A).
Cool valve seats with dry ice.
Attention.
- The cylinder head is hot. Use protective measures to prevent burns.
- Avoid direct contact with cooled valve seats.
Using a reamer to machine valve seats (special tool) or a machine for regrinding valves, bring the seat to the desired parameters.
Attention. When using a reamer, grasp the handle firmly with both hands and, pressing the contact surface around the circumference, make one turn. Improper force on the reamer or repeated turning of the reamer may cause the valve to fail to seat in the seat.
Grind to adjust the fit of the valve.
Check the contact surface of the valve seat again.
3. Install oil seals:
Using a special tool (KV10115600) (A) press the oil seals to the height «H»: 13.2-13.8 mm.
4. Install valve spring seats.
5. Install valves:
Install larger valves on the intake side.
6. Install valve springs.
7. Install the valve spring plates.
8. Compress the valve spring with a special tool (KV10116200) (A). Magnetized rod (IN) install crackers on the valve. Repeat the operation for the remaining valves.
Attention. Be careful not to damage the valve lifter seats.
Note. After installing the nuts and valve plates, it is easy to tap on the edge of the valve to check the security of the fixation.
9. Install the valve lifters.
10. Install the spark plugs using the correct tool.
