Front brake discs
Discs are changed only in pairs and with a set of pads.
Examination
1. Raise the front of the car and place on stands.
2. Remove wheels.
3. Slowly rotating, check the condition of the disc, if necessary, remove the pads.
4. The disc must be replaced if it has cracks and traces of deep wear.
5. If a shoulder has formed on the disc due to wear, then the thickness of the disc must be measured.
6. The thickness is measured in several places, both at the point of contact with the pads and along the edge.
7. If the thickness in places of wear is equal to the limit or less, then the disk must be replaced.
8. Check the wheel bearing adjustment, then check the runout of the disc using an indicator or by laying feelers, for example, between the disc and the caliper bracket.
9. If the runout is excessive, then remove the disc, turn it over and reinstall it on the hub.
10. If the beating again exceeds the norm, then replace the disc.
11. Check the condition of the disc in the attachment points, damage in other places.
Removing
1. Raise the car and remove the wheel.
2. Unscrew the two bolts on the caliper bracket, remove the caliper, move it aside and secure.
3. If the disc will not change, then mark the relative orientation on the disc and hub.
4. Remove the disc from the wheel studs.
5. If the disc cannot be removed, then move it by evenly screwing the M8 bolts into the special threaded holes.
Installation
1. Clean the split surfaces of the hub and disc.
