Removal
The pump is removed together with the fuel level sensor.
1. Remove the sensor following the instructions provided in subsection 6.3.1.9.
2. If necessary, remove the filter element from the fuel pump base, then release the retaining clips and remove the plastic covers from the fuel pump.
3. Wash the fuel filter in a high flash point solution.
4. Inspect the filter for signs of clogging or cracks and replace it if necessary.
Installation
1. If necessary, install plastic covers on the pump and install a filter.
2. Check that the housings are securely installed on the pump, then install the fuel level sensor on the pump and install it according to the instructions provided in subsection 6.3.1.9.
