Note: After removing the manual transmission from the vehicle, replace the slave cylinder. Do not allow grease or oil to come into contact with the working surfaces of the clutch.
Clutch mounting bolt tightening sequence

1. Remove the manual transmission (see section Removal and installation of manual transmission).
2. Clutch installation components are shown in the illustration Clutch components.
3. Using a special device installed on the flywheel ring gear, block it from turning.
4. Evenly loosen the clutch pressure plate mounting bolts and remove the pressure plate and driven plate.
5. If necessary, check the clutch components in accordance with the Specifications parameters.
6. Clean the splines of the manual transmission input shaft from old grease and dirt. Apply new grease to the splines with a thickness of no more than 1 mm (total amount – 0.4 grams).
7. Install the driven disk on the manual transmission input shaft and remove any protruding grease.
8. Install the pressure plate, tightening its bolts by hand.
9. Center the discs and tighten the pressure plate mounting bolts evenly in the sequence shown in the illustration above and to the torques shown in Specifications.
10. Install manual transmission.
