1. Apply the parking brake
2. Models with manual transmission (ITUC). Depress the clutch pedal and move the shift lever to position R. If the vehicle is on a hill, shift into first gear.
Models with automatic transmission (AKP). Press the brake pedal to the stop and set the selector lever to position P.
3. When parking the vehicle on an uphill or downhill slope, turn the front wheels as shown in the figure to prevent the vehicle from entering the roadway if it accidentally rolls downhill.
① Downhill parking
Turn the front wheels towards the curb. Roll the vehicle slowly down and carefully place the front wheel against the curb. Then apply the parking brake.
② Parking on the rise
Turn the front wheels away from the curbstone. Roll the vehicle slowly down and carefully place the front wheel against the curb. Then apply the parking brake.
③ Parking uphill or downhill with no curb
Turn the front wheels towards the curb (if the car accidentally rolls down the slope, it will not be able to enter the carriageway). Then apply the parking brake.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and remove the key or remote «Intelligent Key».
