Your vehicle is designed primarily for the transportation of passengers and luggage.
It should be remembered that when towing a trailer, the main units and systems of the vehicle (engine, transmission, steering, brake system) additional loads apply. In addition, towing a trailer increases the vehicle's tendency to yaw due to road irregularities, crosswinds, and aerodynamic disturbances from passing trucks. Adjust your driving style and choose a safe driving speed according to the vehicle's condition and traffic conditions.
Precautionary measures
- When purchasing a towing hitch (hook, safety chain, etc) and other optional equipment, make sure it is suitable for your vehicle and trailer. You can find all the necessary equipment at your NISSAN dealer, who will advise you in detail on all matters relating to trailer towing.
- It is prohibited to exceed the permissible gross weight of the trailer (including the mass of the trailer and the mass of the load), established for the towing hitch used.
- Before setting off, check the functionality of the lighting and signaling devices on the trailer.
- Avoid sudden acceleration and braking.
- Avoid sharp turns and lane changes.
- Practice riding at a moderate speed.
- When parking a road train, always install wheel chocks under the wheels of the car and trailer. If the trailer is equipped with a parking brake, apply it.
- Parking of road trains on steep slopes is not recommended.
- Follow the trailer manufacturer's instructions and recommendations.
- When loading a trailer, ensure that heavy loads are positioned above the trailer axle.
- It is prohibited to exceed the maximum permissible vertical load on the towing hitch.
Caution: To avoid engine overheating while towing a trailer, carefully monitor the coolant temperature warning light.
Tire pressure
Before towing a trailer, adjust the tire pressure to the cold tire pressure indicated on the placard (at full load as indicated on the nameplate).
Trailer braking system
When parking a road train, always install wheel chocks under the wheels of the car and trailer. Always engage the parking brake of the trailer (for those modifications where it is available). It is not recommended to park the road train on steep slopes.

Trailer Hitch Reminder System (if any)
The vehicle's electrical system registers the occurrence of an additional electrical load when the towed trailer's lights and turn signals are switched on. As a result, the tone of the turn signal sound changes.
Installation of the coupling device
In accordance with NISSAN requirements, the following conditions must be met when installing a towing hitch:
- Maximum permissible vertical load on the towing hitch: 490 N (50 kg)
- The locations and method of attaching the towing hitch to the vehicle must correspond to those shown in the figure.
Rear overhang of ball joint: (A) 175 mm.
When installing and operating, follow all instructions and recommendations of the towing hitch manufacturer.
