Removal
1. Remove the camshaft. See section "Camshaft".
2. Remove the valve lifters. See section "Camshaft".
3. Turn the crankshaft until the piston of the cylinder on which the seal needs to be removed is at TDC. This will prevent the valve from falling into the cylinder.
Caution: When turning the crankshaft, do not pinch the timing chain with the front cover.
4. Remove the crackers.
Compress the valve spring using a tool, attachment and adapter (special tool: KV10116200) (A) Remove the crackers using a finger magnet (B) (see fig.).

Caution: When performing work, do not damage the holes for the valve tappets.
5. Remove the valve spring retainer, valve spring and valve spring seat.
6. Remove the valve seal using a puller (special tool: KV10107902) (A).

Installation
1. Apply engine oil to the new valve seal and sealing lip.
2. Press in the valve seal using a punch (special tool: KV10115600) (A) up to the height "H" as shown in the figure.

Height "H": 13.2-13.8 mm
3. After this operation, installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
