Removal
1. Remove the following components:
- protective cover from the front right wing; see chapter Body;
- drive belts; see section "Drive belts";
- crankshaft pulley; see section "Timing chain".
2. Remove the front oil seal using a suitable tool.
Caution: Do not damage the front cover and crankshaft.
Installation
1. Apply fresh engine oil to the new front oil seal lip.

2. Press in the front oil seal so that the edges face the direction shown in the figure.

Press in the front oil seal (2) using a punch with an outer diameter of 50 mm and an inner diameter of 44 mm (suitable special tool) (A) according to the dimensions shown in the figure.
1. Front cover
Attention:
- Be careful not to damage the front cover or crankshaft.
- Press in at a right angle to avoid burrs and distortion of the seal.
3. After this operation, installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
