Removal
1. Raise the vehicle and remove the wheels from the vehicle. Release the parking brake.
2. Remove the hub cap from the brake drum (wheel hubs) using tongs (suitable special tool).
3. Loosen the lock nut and separate the brake drum from the axle shaft.
4. Remove the ABS sensor ring from the mudguard. See chapter Brake system.
5. Loosen the self-locking nut. See chapter Brake system. Separate the rear parking brake cable from the rear wheel brake. See chapter Parking brake.
6. Separate the brake pipe from the working cylinder. See chapter Brake system.
Attention:
- When separating the brake pipe, do not allow brake fluid to come into contact with painted areas.
- Do not press the brake pedal after removing the brake pipe and brake drum.
7. Remove the axle shaft mounting bolts. Separate the mud shield assembly and axle shaft from the rear suspension trailing arm.
Installation
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. For tightening torques, see the section "Removal and installation".

Using a punch (special tool) install the hub cap onto the brake drum (wheel hub).
Caution: Do not reuse the hub cap.
Fill with fresh brake fluid and bleed the air. See chapter Brake system.
