Note. After replacing the brake pads or brake disc, or if the parking brake is not working properly, carry out the running-in procedure.
1. Adjust lever travel (pedals) parking brake.
2. Perform the parking brake shoe break-in procedure under the following conditions:
- Vehicle speed (forward movement): approximately 45 km/h (uniform).
- Force applied to the lever (pedals) parking brake: 149 N (15.2 kgf).
- Time to apply force to the lever (pedals) parking brake: approximately 5 seconds.
Attention. To prevent overheating of the parking brake pads, allow them to cool for approximately five minutes after each lever is pressed (pressing the pedal) parking brake.
3. After running in the brakes, check the stroke of the parking brake control lever. If the stroke is not correct, carry out the adjustment procedure again.
