Removing
Caution: When replacing brake pads, always replace the inner caps and outer gaskets as a set.
1. Remove the wheels from the vehicle.
2. Remove the cap from the master cylinder reservoir.
3. Remove the bolt from the lower guide pin.
4. Hang the cylinder body on the wire. Remove the pad assemblies and pad holders from the caliper bracket.
Installation
1. Apply polybutyl caprysil (RVS) grease or silicone grease on the inner pad (rear surface) and outer block (rear surface).
2. Apply polybutyl caprysilane (RVS) grease or silicone grease on the contact surface of the pad holder and install the pad holders and pads into the caliper bracket.
3. Insert the cylinder body into the caliper bracket.
Caution: When replacing pads with new ones, push in the piston until the pads can be inserted. In this case, keep an eye on the level of the brake fluid in the reservoir, because when the piston is pressed in, the brake fluid will return and raise the level in the reservoir of the main brake cylinder.
4. Screw the bolt into the lower guide pin and tighten to the required torque.
5. Check if the brakes are sticking.
