Cylinder head bolt diameter
Bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders are tightened on a yield strength. If the diameter difference "d1" And "d2" exceeds the permissible value, the bolt must be replaced with a new one.
Note. Maximum allowable difference («d1» - «d2»): 0.15 mm.
If the bolt thinning does not occur at the point indicated in the figure "d2", and in the other, then this point must be considered as "62".
Non-flatness of the surface of the cylinder head
Note. When checking the flatness of the cylinder head, the surface of the cylinder block must also be checked for flatness.
1. Using a scraper, remove oil, scale, gasket residues, seals and deposits from the bottom plane of the cylinder head.
Attention. Do not allow gasket residues to enter the cooling system jacket and oil channels.
2. Check the flatness of the bottom surface of the cylinder head in six directions using a straightedge (A) and a set of flat probes (IN).
If the measured value is out of specification, replace the cylinder head with a new one.
