Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following.
After installing the transmission on the engine, tighten the mounting bolts as shown below.
2WD models
Models with SR20DE engine

Bolt #2 also secures the automatic transmission filter, replace it with a new bolt.
Models with YD25DDTi engine

Adjust the positions of the connecting bolts of the drive disk and torque converter, tighten them, then tighten with a force of 45-58 Nm (4.5-6.0 kg·m).

Attention:
- Turn the crankshaft to the right (if you look from the front of the engine).
- Tighten the connecting bolts after fixing the crankshaft pulley bolt, then check the tightening of the crankshaft pulley bolt.
Models with YD25DDTi engine: Install the TDC sensor: first insert the rubber bushing into the hole, then the sensor.
Note: Install the bushing so that it rests against the torque converter housing.
After installing the automatic transmission, check for leaks and oil level.
Models with YD25DDTi engine: adjust the operation of the ACM, see chapter Active engine mounts.
