Carbon filter EVAP
Check the EVAP carbon filter as follows:
1. Plug the canal (IN).
2. Blow air through the channel (A).
Make sure air can escape freely through the duct (WITH).
3. Remove your finger from the channel (IN).
4. Apply vacuum to the channel (IN). Make sure the channels (A) And (WITH) there is a vacuum.
5. Plug channels (A) And (IN).
6. Blow air through the channel (WITH).
Make sure there is no air leakage.
Fuel tank stop valve
1. Blow air through the connector on the side of the fuel tank.
Significant resistance should be felt and some of the airflow should flow towards the EVAP filter.
2. Blow air through the coupler on the side of the EVAP filter.
Air must flow freely towards the fuel tank.
3. If you suspect that the fuel stop valve in steps 1 and 2 above is not working properly, replace it.
Fuel Tank Vacuum Valve (built into the fuel filler cap)
1. Wipe the valve body.
2. Check valve opening pressure and vacuum.
Pressure: 15.3-20.0 kPa (0.156-0.204 kg/cm2)
Vacuum: -6.0 to -3.4 kPa (-0.061 to -0.035 kg/cm2)
3. If the pressure and vacuum are abnormal, replace the fuel filler cap assembly.
