1. Raise the vehicle. Connect the oil pressure gauge (special tool) and adapter (special tool) between the outlet fitting and the high-pressure hose. Then bleed the hydraulic circuit.
2. Start the engine and let it run until the oil temperature in the tank reaches 50-60°C.
Attention:
When starting the engine and while it is running, leave the pressure gauge valve fully open. If the engine is started with the valve closed, the pressure in the oil pump will increase, which will cause pressure to drop and the oil temperature to rise excessively.
When starting the engine, make sure that the hose does not touch the belt.
3. Close the pressure gauge valve completely with the engine running at idle speed. Measure the relief pressure.
Standard unloading pressure:
- Models with SR20DE engine: 7.2-7.8 MPa (73-79 kg/cm²)
- Models with YD25DDTi engine: 8.62-9.22 MPa (88-94 kg/cm²).
After measuring, slowly open the valve.
Attention:
Do not close the valve for more than 15 seconds.
If the relief pressure is different from the norm, repair the oil pump, see below.
5. After checking, disconnect the oil pressure gauge from the hydraulic circuit. Perform a complete bleeding of the system, see above.
