Roof molding
Roof molding attachment
Note. Other moldings are replaced in the same way.
1. Using a plastic wedge, lift the rear edge of the roof molding, remove the retainer, and cut the 2-sided adhesive tape securing the molding.
2. Remove the remaining adhesive tape from the molding and body.
3. Clean the mating surfaces of the roof and molding.
4. Stick the retainer on the side of the body and wait at least 40 minutes.
5. Apply a primer (e.g. Sumitomo 3M N200) on the rear surface of the retainer mating with the adhesive tape on the side of the body.
6. Apply adhesive tape to the back side of the retainer on the side of the body
7. Fit the front side of the roof molding to the windshield seal, press the roof molding from front to back and secure it to the body with 2-sided adhesive tape and clips.
Windscreen seal
1. Remove windshield fairing (see Section Removal and installation of a fairing of a windscreen).
2. Detach the covers from the wings by cutting the 2-sided adhesive tape.
3. Apply protective tape around the perimeter of the windshield seal and cut the seal lip.
4. Remove remaining seal.
5. Apply primer and adhesive.
6. Align the white mark on the new windshield seal with the mark on the spacer at the top of the windshield.
7. Press the seal by hand until its lower beard catches the glass, and then push the seal outward.
8. Remove protective tape and install fender covers and windshield fairing.
Side door window seals

1. Fully lower the door glass.
2. Grasp the seal and pull it up to release it from the retainers (starting from the rear).
3. Installation is done in reverse order.
