Removing
Active Suspension Models: Remove actuators and insulator covers from bushings.
Caution: Do not hit or drop the drive.
1. Remove the wheel. Remove the brake hose retainer plate.
2. Remove the brake caliper and hang it so that it does not interfere with work.
Attention: Do not depress the brake pedal after removing the brake caliper.
3. Remove the ABS wheel sensor and wiring from the rack.
4. Remove the bolts and nuts securing the strut to the steering knuckle.
5. Turn off fixing nuts on top of a rack and remove a rack from the car.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Models with active suspension: install the drive in the following order.
1. Install the insulator cover on the bushing.
Note: Make sure the parts are positioned as shown in the picture.
2. Insert the actuator along the axis of the piston rod until the actuator contacts the sleeve.
Attention: Insert the drive without distortion.
3. Make sure the actuator is firmly seated on the piston rod.
4. Rotate the actuator clockwise so as not to damage the insulator cover and O-ring, and fit the actuator firmly onto the bushing.
5. After installation, make sure the drive is positioned as shown.
