The throttle potentiometer is mounted on the right side of the throttle body.
Removal
1. Before removing it, disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Access to the fuel pressure regulator will be greatly improved if the air filter is removed (see subsection 6.3.1.2).
3. Disconnect the throttle potentiometer connection connector.
4. Using white paint or a marker, make marks on the throttle body and potentiometer.
5. Loosen and remove the two mounting screws, then remove the mounting plate and potentiometer.
Installation
6. When installing, install the potentiometer on the throttle body so that its lever is correctly positioned on top of the throttle shaft lever.
7. Install the mounting plate, then align the marks made before removal and tighten the mounting screws slightly.
8. Adjust the potentiometer. To do this, using a tester set to measure resistance, check that the resistance of the potentiometer is as specified in subsection 6.3.1.1.

9. If necessary, loosen the mounting screws and turn the potentiometer.
10. Once the potentiometer is properly installed, tighten the mounting screws securely and connect the connection connector.
11. Reconnect the battery and, if necessary, reinstall the air filter.
