Attention. Observe the rules of cleanliness when working with the components of the diesel injection system.
2. Remove the high pressure fuel pump with related parts.
3. Remove fuel injectors and glow plugs.
4. Remove vacuum pump and coolant outlet with thermostat assembly.
5. Remove the engine front lifting eye, EGR components (EGR), intake duct and exhaust manifold.
6. Remove the camshaft sprocket.
7. Remove the camshaft covers.
8. Mark the location, and then remove the valve lifters.
9. Compress the valve springs with a special tool, then remove the crackers and valve plates, as well as the valve springs.
Note. Before removing the valves and valve stem seals, it is imperative to measure the position "H" one of the old valve stem seals against the cylinder head using the special tool [KV113B0180 (Mot.1511-01) or equivalent].
10. Install stem (A) fixtures (KV113B0180 (Mot. 1511-01) or similar) on the oil cap.
Note. The inner diameter of the stem must be identical to the diameter of the valve stem. In addition, the bottom of the stem must make contact with the metal section of the oil seal.
11. Install guide tube (IN) through the rod until it touches the cylinder head, while securing the rod with the locking screw.
12. Remove the guide tube and stem assembly, being careful not to loosen the set screw.
13. Remove the valves and oil seals using a special puller (KV113B0090 (Mot. 1335) or similar).
