2. Remove crackers.
Compress the valve spring with a spring compression tool and remove the cotters, for example with a magnetic finger.
3. Remove the valve spring retainers and valve springs.
4. Press the valve towards the combustion chamber and remove it.
Before removal, check the clearance in the valve guide.
Mark the locations of the valves and store in such a way that they will not be confused during subsequent installation.
Note: The location of the intake and exhaust valves is shown in the figure (each camshaft alternately has intake and exhaust cams).
5. Remove valve seals.
The gland is removed using a special puller.
6. Remove the valve spring seat.
