2. Using a punch (special tool) press in adjusting washers of the selected thickness and outer rings of the ring gear bearings.

3. Install the oil deflector, tighten the mounting bolts to the required torque.
Make sure that the gap "A" between the oil deflector and the transfer case housing is normal.

- Gap A: 1.0-3.5 mm
Caution: Do not reuse the mounting bolts, replace them with new ones.
4. Install the magnet.
5. Using a punch (special tool) press the seal as shown in the figure until it is flush with the end surface of the crankcase.
Attention:
If the total preload was measured with the seals removed, repeat the measurement after installing the seals.
Do not reuse seals, replace them with new ones.
Apply Nissan MP Special Grease No.2 to the seal lips and Nissan Differential Gear Hipoid Oil Super GL-5 80W-90 to the seal mounting surface.
6. Apply sealant 1215 (KP61000 250) onto the thread of the filler plug and onto the thread of the plug. Screw the plug and plug into the transfer case housing.

7. Apply sealant 1215 (KR61000 250) onto the breather hose and install the hose onto the transfer case housing.
8. Install the drive gear assembly.
9. Install the adapter housing.
10. Install the drive pinion clutch assembly.

11. Check the clearance, preload and shape of the contact patch in the engagement of the gear teeth, see above.
Caution: If the total preload was measured with the oil seals removed, repeat the measurement after installing the oil seals.
