Brake Pedal Mounting Components

1. Remove the instrument panel trim section under the steering column (see Chapter Body).
2. Remove the accelerator pedal wiring harness holder and disconnect the wiring harness connector (see section Removal and installation the gas pedal).
3. Disconnect the brake light switch sensor connector and remove the sensor by turning it at an angle of 45 degrees.
4. Remove the key and axle pin.
5. Loosen the retaining nut and remove the pedal assembly from the vehicle, moving the brake booster and master cylinder assembly toward the engine compartment.
Note: Do not deform the brake pipes when doing this.
6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
