
1. To check, you need a pressure gauge, which can be screwed into the D/V oil pressure hole located above the fuel filter.
2. Check and, if necessary, adjust the engine oil level (see Chapter Vehicle settings and routine maintenance).
3. Warm up the engine and let it idle until the radiator fan turns on and off again.
4. Remove the oil filter, unscrew the engine oil pressure gauge and screw a pressure gauge in its place. Install the fuel filter.
5. Start the engine and compare the pressure gauge readings with the requirements Specifications at different crankshaft speeds.
6. If the specified value is not reached, check the engine (for example, the crankshaft main bearings may be damaged), or replace the pressure relief valve or oil pump.
7. After checking the engine oil pressure when installing the D/V, use a new sealing ring for it and lubricate the threads with sealant. Tighten the D/V with the required force.
