Removing
Attention:
- Do not deform or bend the brake pipes when removing and installing the brake booster.
- Replace pin if damaged.
- Do not damage the threads of the brake booster studs. If it is tilted during installation, the threads on the baffle may be damaged.
- Observe the installation direction of the stop valve.
1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster.
2. Remove the main brake cylinder. See section «Removal and installation».
3. Remove the cotter pin and remove the pin from the brake pedal and unscrew the lock nut from the interior side.
4. Remove the nuts from the brake booster and brake pedal assembly.
5. Remove the clutch master cylinder from the panel on the side of the engine compartment and move it to the side so that it does not interfere with work. See chapter Clutch (models with manual gearbox).
6. Remove the A/C low pressure hose bracket.
7. Remove the hood grill cover. See chapter Body.
8. Remove the brake booster assembly from the engine compartment.
Installation
1. Check the length of the push rod and make sure the length «IN» (on the image) is equal to the specified value.
Standard length «IN»
Left hand drive models: 158.25 mm
Right hand drive models: 115.35 mm
2. Install the brake booster on the vehicle.
Caution: Place a gasket between the amplifier assembly and the engine bulkhead.
3. Connect the brake pedal with the pressure rod pin.
4. Screw the fixing nuts on the brake booster assembly and tighten to the required torque. See section «Removal and installation».
5. Install the master cylinder to the brake booster. See section «Removal and installation».
6. Install the clutch master cylinder. See chapter Clutch (models with manual gearbox).
7. Install the A/C low pressure hose bracket.
8. Install the hood grill cover. See chapter Body.
9. Remove air. See section «Bleeding the brake system».
