2. Check for fluid leaks.
3. Before leaving, the liquid level can be checked at a liquid temperature of 30 to 50°C on a scale «COLD» (cold) on the dipstick as follows:
- A. Stop the vehicle on level ground and apply the parking brake.
- b. Start the engine and move the selector lever through all ranges. Leave the selector lever in position «R».
- With. Check the fluid level while the engine is running at idle speed.
- d. Remove the dipstick and wipe it with lint-free paper.
Caution: Always wipe the dipstick with lint-free paper, not a rag.
- e. Reinsert the dipstick into the fill pipe until it stops.
Caution: Securely fix the dipstick in the fill pipe with a stopper.
- f. Remove the dipstick and take a reading. If the level is below the scale, add fluid through the filler pipe.
Caution: Do not overfill.
4. Drive the car for approx 5 minutes in a city cycle.
5. Recheck the fluid level when the fluid temperature is between 50 and 80°C on the scale «NOT» (hot) on the probe.
Attention:
- Always wipe the dipstick with lint-free paper, not a rag.
- Securely fix the dipstick in the fill pipe with a stopper.
6. Check up a condition of a liquid.
If the fluid is very dark or smells burnt, check the operation of the automatic transmission and repair if necessary. After repairing the automatic transmission, flush the cooling system.
If there are fragments of friction material in the automatic transmission fluid (clutches, band brakes, etc), after repairing the automatic transmission, replace the radiator and flush the radiator tube with a cleaning solution and compressed air. See chapter Lubrication system and engine cooling system.
7. Insert the removed automatic transmission fluid dipstick into the filler pipe.
Caution: Securely fix the dipstick in the fill pipe with a stopper.
