2. Remove the crankshaft pulley (see section Removal and installation the timing chain) and using a screwdriver, remove the seal from the front cover.

3. Lubricate new oil seal with engine oil and press it flush with the outer edge of the front cover. Use a pipe with an outer diameter of 50 mm and an inner diameter of 44 mm.
Note: The orientation of the seal is shown in the illustration above.
4. Install the removed components.
5. To replace the rear crankshaft oil seal, remove the transmission assembly (see Chapter Manual gearbox and clutch or Automatic transmission).
6. On models with manual transmission, remove the clutch disc and basket (see Chapter Drive shafts, steering knuckles and hub assemblies).
7. Remove the flywheel or drive disc (see section Oil pump maintenance).
8. Remove the oil seal using a screwdriver.
9. Lubricate new oil seal with engine oil and press it in using a pipe with an outer diameter of 102 mm and an inner diameter of 90 mm. The seal should not protrude from the body of its holder.
10. Install the removed components.
