Removing
1. Disconnect the front exhaust pipe. See chapter Accelerator, fuel system and exhaust system.
2. Remove the heated oxygen sensor wiring bracket 1 from the cylinder head.
3. Remove the cap from the exhaust manifold.
4. Unscrew the heated oxygen sensor 1 using the wrench (special tool) (A).
Attention: Handle the sensor with care, do not hit or drop it.
Note: The exhaust manifold can be removed and installed without removing the heated oxygen sensor 1 (you need to disconnect the electrical connector)
5. Turn out fixing bolts from a rack of a final collector.
6. Turn out fixing bolts of a final collector from the bottom in an order, the return shown in drawing, and remove a final collector (see fig.).
Loosen the nuts in the reverse order shown in the figure.
7. Remove the gasket.
Caution: Plug the openings in the motor to prevent foreign parts from entering.
8. Remove the cover from the back of the exhaust manifold.
Check after removal
Surface warping
With the help of a ruler (IN) and probe (A) check that the contact surface of the exhaust manifold is not warped.
Limit: 0.3mm
If warpage exceeds the limit, replace the exhaust manifold.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
An exhaust manifold
1. Tighten the nuts in the order indicated by the numbers in the figure.
2. Retighten to the required torque.
